SEO Strategy
Ten weeks. The output is a 6-12 month roadmap: architecture, topical map, content specifications per silo, redirect and equity plan, prioritisation by commercial impact.
What it solves — and what it doesn't
Solves
- You have findings — yours or someone else's — and no plan to act on them.
- Your site has accumulated content without architecture; new pages make the problem worse, not better.
- A redesign or migration is on the table and the equity question hasn't been answered.
- You need a roadmap your in-house team can execute without a consultant in the room.
- You're entering AI Overviews / GEO territory and need the entity, content and signal layers planned, not improvised.
What you get
An operational roadmap that survives contact with your team. Specifically:
- Final architecture — URL structure, silos, hubs and spokes, internal linking model, breadcrumb hierarchy.
- Topical map — every cluster you should own, every page that should exist, every page that should be consolidated or removed.
- Content specifications per silo — brief templates ready to be assigned: persona, intent, target query, structure, internal links, schema, differentiators, source manifest gate.
- Redirect and equity plan — every URL with accumulated authority accounted for as portfolio, not as cleanup.
- Prioritisation — sequenced by commercial impact and dependency. What ships first, what waits, what doesn't ship at all.
- Measurement criteria — agreed before execution starts, so success is verifiable later.
Input requirement: findings from an Audit. Ours, or an external one that passes a substance check.
How it works
-
Phase 1 · 2 weeks
Architecture design
URL structure, silo boundaries, hub-and-spoke logic, internal linking model. Designed against the audit's findings, not from a template.
-
Phase 2 · 3 weeks
Topical map
Every cluster you should own. Every page that should exist, exists. Cannibalisations resolved. Coverage gaps named. Query fan-out simulated for the queries that matter.
-
Phase 3 · 3 weeks
Content specifications per silo
Brief templates per page type. Source manifest gate. Differentiators codified. Internal linking pre-built. Ready to hand to a writer — in-house, freelance, or AI-assisted under your review.
-
Phase 4 · 1 week
Redirect and equity plan
Every URL with history mapped. Redirects routed to the semantically correct destination. Annual and seasonal URLs handled as evergreen where they should be.
-
Phase 5 · 1 week
Roadmap and prioritisation
Sequence the plan against your team's capacity. Approval session. Measurement criteria signed off.
Investment
Fixed scope. $15,000 – $40,000, indicative range based on site scale, number of silos, and depth of the equity question. Paid against milestones.
Confirmed after Audit findings are in hand and Strategy scope is agreed.
Next step
Strategy starts from findings. If we haven't run the Audit, that's the starting point. If you have findings already, the Exploratory Touchdown is where we check they pass the substance check Strategy depends on.
