Ongoing Advisory
Monthly. Continuous oversight of a strategy in execution: weekly async check-ins, monthly deep review, quarterly audit lite, decisions documented as they happen.
What it solves — and what it doesn't
Solves
- You have a strategy and need a senior pair of eyes on what's shipping, what's regressing, what to do next.
- Your team writes the content, ships the tech, runs the campaigns — and needs briefs, reviews and decisions at the pace the work moves.
- Quarterly the site needs to be re-audited at depth, but you don't want to run a full Audit each time.
- You need defensible monthly reporting — what changed, what failed, what's proposed, what decision you owe — not vanity dashboards.
Doesn't solve
- Content production. We brief and review; your team or vendors write.
- Technical implementation. We specify and verify post-deploy; your dev team executes.
- Link building.
- A short relationship. Advisory is built around long-term commitment; without it, the work doesn't compound.
What you get every month
- Monthly report — 4 pages. What changed in the site and the SERPs, what failed, what we propose, what decision you owe. Built to be forwarded to a CEO or CMO as-is.
- Two 60-minute sessions. One deep review, one decisions session. Async writing in between.
- Weekly async check-ins. Slack or email. Triage of what's coming up, blockers cleared.
- Briefs and specifications on demand. Content briefs, technical specs, schema, internal linking plans — whatever the roadmap needs that week.
- Pre-launch reviews. Any meaningful change — template, migration, restructure — goes through a review before it ships.
- Audit lite, quarterly. The site re-checked at depth every three months, against the priority stack and the AI-visibility prompt suite.
How it works
-
Weekly
Async check-ins
Slack or email. What's shipping, what's blocked, what needs a call. Same-day response on anything time-critical.
-
Monthly
Deep review + decisions session
Monthly report delivered. One review session (what happened), one decisions session (what next). Both 60 minutes, both with written follow-up.
-
Quarterly
Strategic adjustment
Audit lite re-runs the priority stack against current state. Roadmap re-prioritised against the next quarter. AI-visibility prompt suite re-run to track citation movement.
How we measure
Where attribution exists, revenue impact. Where it doesn't, the proxies we agreed in Strategy: ranking on commercial queries, citation rate in AI Overviews and major LLMs, indexation rate of the prioritised pages, organic-driven conversion against baseline.
Whichever metric: agreed in advance, reported against monthly, never moved retroactively.
Investment
Monthly retainer. $3,000 – $10,000 / month, indicative range based on cadence, the breadth of the brief load, and whether quarterly audit lite is in scope.
Three-month minimum commitment. SEO doesn't return in less than that; the retainer reflects what the work actually requires to compound.
Next step
Advisory works when there's already a roadmap to steer. If we built it in Strategy, we already know what we're measuring. If it came from elsewhere, the Exploratory Touchdown is where we check whether the roadmap is one we can operate from.
